We are hoping to set up a weekly or semi-regular residency somewhere, as well as book a string of other shows ASAP. We certainly don’t plan on keeping quiet as long as we had been, so hopefully we’ll be back onstage somewhere very soon.

April 19, 2007 - Last Friday’s show at Boulder Coffee was a smashing success. It turns out Charlie Dye (Chris’ friend who plays in Trio Schema, Electric Fuzz, Dave Rivello Ensemble, etc.) sat-in on drums at the last minute (as Dennis Mariano didn’t make it back to town as early as planned). The show really couldn’t have gone better. We got lots of support -- even from a lot of people who couldn’t make it. Thanks to everyone who came and also to everyone who couldn’t make it but asked us afterwards how it went. Thanks also to Dennis for being on-hand to do the show. Charlie tore it up (and he and I had only just met when he walked in the door at Boulder!) and is interested in playing with us more. So, as it stands right now, it looks like the wheels may finally be starting to turn. Exciting! -- S.
Monday, Apr 9 2007: hello, hello! we are looking to get back in action after a long hiatus. Dennis Mariano of Kill Myself On Monday and Tiger Cried Beef will be filling-in on drums for us at our next show, after which we'll begin searching for a long-term replacement. we are also in the process of booking a show with the Lobster Quadrille for sometime in May. oh, and the new bandname is officially shortened to Pillowfight Accident. happy spring...
What happens when thrash-based metal riffing gets improvised and intersects with abstract modern jazz, minimalist repetition, indie/math, space and classic rock chord textures, the harmonic flexibility of traditional jazz, mellow soundscape ambience, funk grooves, and West African, Latin and Balinese polyrhythms and counter-rhythms? We really have no idea either, but we thought we’d try and find out.
